EFT Tapping Pain Management Cardiff
EFT for Pain Management Cardiff & Online
Hello, my name is Stefan and I’m a holistic coach, EFT Advanced Practitioner, HeartMath Certified Practitioner and Matrix Reimprinting Practitioner based in Cardiff, south Wales.
I help my clients with various mental and emotional issues including chronic pain.
Chronic pain affects around 28 million people in the UK, making it a widespread and often debilitating condition. Whether caused by injury, illness, or ongoing health issues, chronic pain can severely impact quality of life, leading to fatigue, anxiety, depression, and difficulty with daily activities.
There are numerous reasons people experience chronic pain. In the 1970s, Dr John Sarno proposed that most cases of chronic pain, particularly back pain, can be linked to emotional repression and psychological stress. He called this condition TMS (Tension Myositis Syndrome).
Sarno also described the “pain loop” in TMS, a cycle where repressed emotions lead to physical pain, which in turn reinforces the repression.
EFT is able to address these underlying mental and emotional causes.
If you’re struggling with chronic pain, finding effective support is key to restoring balance, wellbeing and a better quality of life.
I provide coaching sessions in-person at my practice near Cardiff or online using Zoom.

What Is EFT?
EFT – also known as Emotional Freedom Techniques or “tapping” – is a simple technique that helps the client release negative memories, emotions and feelings from the past and present, thereby lifting the burden of stress from the mind and body. EFT therapy is based on a combination of ancient Chinese medicine and modern psychology. By gently tapping on acupressure points on various parts the body, while focussing on a problem – be that physical, mental or emotional – the body is able to rebalance its energy system, thereby releasing the problem. How EFT Helps with Chronic Pain
Chronic pain can keep the body’s fight-or-flight response active, leading to the “pain loop”.
EFT helps by:
- Reducing the emotional distress linked to chronic pain
- Calming the nervous system to decrease pain signals
- Breaking negative thought loops that worsen pain perception
- Identifying and resolving underlying issues, like trauma, influencing the pain
- Supporting relaxation, which may reduce muscle tension and discomfort
- Promoting relaxation and clarity
Many clients report reduced pain intensity and improved coping skills after EFT sessions, making it a valuable part of a pain management plan.
